New Gas Line Install
Yes, we can help install your new gas line. And, we provide complimentary estimates.
We can install a new gas line to any appliance, including BBQ's, fireplaces, fire pits, fire features, dryers, water heaters, pool heaters, and pretty much anything else that uses gas to operate.
What Does a New Gas Line Cost?
Gas project pricing is relative to the property. Before determining costs, contractor building codes require us to perform a gas load calculation.
Part of the gas load calculation includes:
-
Ascertaining the size of gas pipe running from the gas meter into your home.
-
Counting the number of gas-burning appliances in your home, along with calculating their respective BTU demands.
-
Confirming the BTU demand of the new appliance/fire feature you are installing.
-
Calculating the total developed length of all your existing gas piping. This can be challenging to determine, as it involves estimating the linear footage of gas piping within your walls and ceiling.
With a gas load calculation complete, we can then provide you with a written quote for your new gas line.
Although this may not directly answer your pricing question, it's easy to see that gas line estimating requires more information to estimate. It's not as simple as throwing out a number based on average projects.
To give you some sort of pricing range, most houses that will have a new fire burning appliance within 20-feet of their gas meter, pay between $1200-$2400 to have a new gas line installed.

Gas Leak Repairs & Detection
Yes, we can help find and repair gas leaks. Although gas leaks can be tricky to find, we have the equipment, experience, and understanding of construction in the area to help you with even the most challenging leaks.
How do you find a gas leak?
To find a gas leak, we use a combination of gas line tracing tools, gas sniffers, and pressure testing equipment.
Not all gas leaks can be pinpointed due to access and location of the existing pipe. If the leaking gas line is inaccessible and doesn't allow for gas detecting equipment to be used, we can segregate the leaking section from the rest of the house. This will allow us to reroute or replace that section of leaking pipe in a non-invasive fashion.
What does gas leak detection cost?
Gas leak detection is usually $375, but can vary based on your gas system. If you have us do the leak detection and make the subsequent repair, we apply the leak detection costs towards the final repair cost. If you'd like to get an estimate, just give us a call at 520-600-5700.
Pool Heater Gas Line
Yes, we do install pool heater gas lines and provide complimentary estimates. The right size gas line along with the correct gas materials and craftsmanship determines the safety and longevity of your new gas line. You can count on us to help.
We can install black iron pipe, coated black iron, and HDPE poly gas pipes. We can provide all the trenching necessary, install the new gas line, pressure test to confirm a leak-free operation, and backfill the soil. We'll even get your permit and inspection completed.
What does a pool heater gas line cost?
Pricing for a pool heater gas line varies house to house, but most of the time is within a range of $45 to $65 per foot. The BTU demand of the pool heater along with the necessary length of the new line and jobsite installation techniques each affect the price.
